I’ve been combing the internet trying to discover if I’m the only person who experienced a major increase in allergy symptoms after quitting smoking. I’ve been sneezing, dripping, coughing and watering for about 6 weeks now, and I’ve had enough. I thought it might be because I quit smoking, and my research seems to confirm that. It seems that smoking depresses your immune system, so after you quit, your immune system goes back to normal. Allergies are from the immune system being stimulated. So apparently smoking was masking my allergies all these years. I’m not going to go back to smoking, but I am going to find an allergist. I’m sick of walking around with a box of Kleenex permanently attached to my hip, and if I sneeze one more time, I’m going to start banging my head against the wall.

On another note, the tile guys are coming to put in the shower in the end of December. I may actually have a shower in my master bath by January. Of course, it will have cost so much to put in that I’ll be afraid to use it, but never mind that. It’ll look pretty. I have to take two days off of work to babysit the tile guys. Part of me is happy about the time off, but the other party of me is dreading the work I’ll come back to. I was off one day this week and it took four days to catch up.

I’m going to bed now. I don’t notice the sneezing and sniffling nearly as much when I’m asleep.
